Join us for an informative and timely presentation led by Leah Sternberg exploring the growing use of kratom and its implications for maternal and perinatal health care. This session will provide healthcare providers, public health professionals, and community-based practitioners with a deeper understanding of the pharmacokinetics of kratom, emerging concerns surrounding prenatal exposure, and current legal considerations both nationally and within Georgia. Through case study review and practical discussion, participants will gain evidence-informed recommendations to support screening, patient education, and clinical decision-making when caring for pregnant and parenting individuals impacted by kratom use.
