The purpose of this course is to:

  1. Continue the discussion and exploration of the ethics and biases of AI, emphasizing the high-stakes implications of its use.
  2. Navigate the complexity of utilizing Generative AI in medical education, with a clear understanding of the core skill sets and decision-making points throughout the process.
  3. Use Generative AI tools to enhance faculty research productivity, while addressing the associated ethical considerations.

"Twists and Turns: Teaching and Learning with AI" is an intermediate-level hybrid course designed for medical education faculty who have completed the beginner AI course. This comprehensive program delves into advanced applications of artificial intelligence in medical education, building upon foundational knowledge to improve teaching practices and learning outcomes.

 Through a combination of online modules, in-person seminars, and practical assignments, participants will gain the skills and confidence to effectively incorporate AI into their teaching methods. The course emphasizes both theoretical understanding and practical application, ensuring that faculty can immediately apply their learning to enhance student engagement and outcomes in medical education.
