“Reclaiming Your Power After Birth: A journey to rediscover the woman within the mother” explores the emotional, physical, and spiritual healing journey that follows a difficult or traumatic birth experience. Too often, mothers are celebrated for bringing life into the world but left to quietly navigate the pain, fear, or disconnection that may linger afterward. This talk creates a compassionate space to acknowledge those hidden wounds and to guide women toward reclaiming their sense of peace, strength, and identity. Through honest reflection, holistic self-care practices, and gentle empowerment, participants will learn ways to reconnect with their bodies, release emotional tension, and rebuild confidence in their motherhood journey. Ultimately, this session invites mothers to transform their pain into power; reminding them that healing is not only possible but a sacred part of becoming whole again.

This presentation will discuss three key areas:

  1. Recognizing birth trauma – understanding what it looks like and how it shows up in our bodies and emotions.
  2. Pathways to healing – from therapy and support groups to mindfulness, gentle movement, and self-compassion practices.
  3. Reclaiming your story – how /mothers can move from pain to empowerment, and find meaning and connection through their healing journey
