Global Site Solutions Summit | SCRS

The Global Site Solutions Summit™, hosted by the Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS), is the premier conference bringing together clinical research sites, sponsors, CROs, and solution providers in one collaborative forum. Taking place October 16-18, 2026, in Orlando, Florida, this year marks the Summit's 20th anniversary.

Unlike single-stakeholder industry events, the Global Site Solutions Summit is uniquely designed to unite the full cross-section of the clinical trials ecosystem to address shared challenges and identify practical, actionable solutions for site sustainability. Attendees engage in industry-defining conversations, gain insights into the latest trends shaping clinical research, and build lasting cross-industry partnerships — all with the goal of improving the efficiency and future of clinical trials.

The Summit offers educational sessions across multiple tracks, diverse speaker perspectives from global research leaders, and structured networking opportunities designed to amplify the voice of research sites within the broader clinical trials landscape.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:
1. Investigator Development and Mentorship

  • Describe structural barriers contributing to the high rate of "one-and-done" principal investigators and the shrinking investigator pipeline.
  • Recognize effective mentorship and onboarding models for integrating research-naïve physicians into clinical research roles.
  • Apply strategies for building sustainable, long-term investigator career pathways at their own sites.

2. Applying ICH E6(R3) Requirements Correctly

  • Summarize the specific oversight and delegation requirements introduced under ICH E6(R3).
  • Recognize common misinterpretations of E6(R3) risk-based quality management requirements versus actual regulatory expectations.
  • Apply compliant oversight and delegation documentation practices within their own investigative sites.

3. Care-Integrated Trial Decision-Making

  • Distinguish the clinical and operational factors that determine whether a trial fits a site's patient population and care model.
  • Recognize the shift from feasibility-only trial evaluation to a care-integrated decision-making approach, particularly in oncology.
  • Apply a structured framework for evaluating trial fit against patient relevance, competing standards of care, and institutional mission.

4. Quantifying and Communicating Site Burden

  • Explain the operational, clinical, data, and technology pressures that contribute to protocol-driven site burden.
  • Recognize the value of a standardized site burden framework for benchmarking capacity against protocol demands.
  • Apply data-informed language and tools to communicate site capacity constraints to sponsors and CROs.

5. Responsible AI Implementation in Trial Conduct

  • Outline current and emerging AI applications relevant to protocol review, feasibility analysis, and site workflow optimization.
  • Recognize sponsor-related restrictions, data privacy considerations, and compliance risks associated with AI adoption in trial conduct.
  • Apply a framework for evaluating build-versus-buy decisions when implementing AI tools at their own sites.
