Gabriela Cohen, Associate Professor of Medicine, Emory University School of Medicine

Dr. Gabriela Cohen is an Associate Professor of Emory University School of Medicine, Division of Geriatrics and Gerontology. She is a internal medicine, geriatrician and a memory expert. Dr Cohen did her training in Internal Medicine Resident in Argentina and then in NYU where she was also chief resident. Then she completed her geriatric fellowship at Suny University- Downstate Medical Center. Dr. Cohen served as a memory expert in the Division of Cognitive Disorders at Fleni, an academic Neurological Center in Argentina. She joined Emory University in 2021. She demonstrates her expertise as a memory expert by serving as a provider at Georgia Memory Net, a state funded program to improve early diagnosis of ADRD for the residents of the State of Georgia. Dr Cohen won the distinction as Distinguished Physician at Emory University. Dr. Cohen has an established reputation in diagnosis and management of dementia in older adults. She is currently the medical director of the new program to Improve a Dementia Care Experience in Dementia ( GUIDE Program) at Grady Memory Health System. She is a dedicated teacher for the Residency Internal Medicine Program, the resident coordinator and Core Faculty of the Division of Geriatrics and Gerontology. She was appointed Medical DIrector of the Memory CLinic at Grady Memorial Hospital, starting date February 2026
