Suzette Binford, M.Ed.
Suzette Binford is the Community Liaison and Training Manager for the Charlie and Harriet Shaffer Cognitive Empowerment Program, a first-of-its-kind lifestyle enhancement program for people with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and their care partners. The program’s goal is to promote purpose, health and wellness, and empower people affected by MCI to live their best lives.
Prior to joining the Cognitive Empowerment Program team, Suzette served as the Programs Director for the Atlanta region of the Alzheimer’s Association, GA Chapter, where she developed some of Georgia’s first programs and services for people living with MCI and early dementia.
Suzette has a Bachelor’s Degree from the College of Charleston and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling from The Citadel. She has been working with older adults with cognitive impairment since 1993.
