James Kohler, PhD

I am currently serving as Director of the Office of Research Development at Morehouse School of Medicine. I provide support for the research enterprise, assisting faculty in proposal development, providing proposal pre-reveiw assistance and training in basic grant writing skills.
I have research interest in infectious diseases and mucosal immunology, pathology and antivirals. My background training is in mucosal immunology, vaccine development, HIV and host immune regulation. I previously was active in academic research in antiviral drug development toward a Cure for HIV, HBV and HCV. I served as the primary grant writer, editor and data analysis for ongoing projects in the Laboratory of Biochemical Pharmacology and Drug Discovery in Department of Pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine.
