Dr. Sara Anvari is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital, where she serves as Director of Clinical Trials and Translational Research for the Allergy and Immunology Program. She is also the Medical Director of the FPIES Clinic and the Penicillin Allergy Delabeling Clinic, and has developed multidisciplinary clinical programs focused on complex food allergy and adverse drug and vaccine reactions.

Dr. Anvari’s research and clinical work focus on food allergy, including Food Protein-Induced Enterocolitis Syndrome (FPIES), drug hypersensitivity, and vaccine allergy. She leads multicenter clinical trials and registry-based studies aimed at improving diagnosis, understanding disease mechanisms, and advancing patient-centered care.

She is actively involved in national leadership through the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI), where she contributes to multiple committees focused on drug, biologic, and vaccine reactions, as well as anaphylaxis. Dr. Anvari is recognized for her collaborative approach to care, mentorship of trainees and junior faculty, and commitment to advancing evidence-based management for allergic diseases.
