Nellie Young is a third year resident at Morehouse School of Medicine Pediatrics Residency Program. She graduated with a medical doctorate from Mercer University School of Medicine. She also received a bachelor of science in biology from Mercer University. She was chosen as part of the first class of the Mercer University – Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Rural Pediatrics Scholarship Program. Scholars for this program were selected for having a strong commitment to becoming pediatricians and serving in rural, medically underserved areas of Georgia. Nellie has committed to serving her South GA community in Tifton, Georgia at Affinity Pediatrics after completing residency as a general outpatient pediatrician.
