Dr. Tiffany Karsten, originally from Las Vegas, NV, now calls Macon, GA her home, where she lives with her husband and two sons. With over 13 years of expertise in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Karsten has a special focus on robotic surgery and cervical dysplasia. She is dedicated to providing exceptional gynecological care for special populations, including teens and the LGBTQ community.

Since joining the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in 2023, Dr. Karsten has made a significant impact as a rural Georgia VA gynecologist located in Zebulon, GA.  There, she initiated a program with neighboring VA clinic sites to ensure up-to-date cervical screening practices.

Before focusing solely on gynecology, Dr. Karsten offered comprehensive and high-risk obstetric care at a large multi-specialty community health center in Tucson, AZ for five years. She was a lead surgeon and proctor for robotic hysterectomy surgeries and served as the Wright Center Family Medicine Residency Ob/Gyn Rotation Coordinator .

Dr. Karsten's enduring passion for working with Planned Parenthood led her to join their mission in 2021. She continues to support their efforts in providing comprehensive sexual and reproductive care to all. Additionally, Dr. Karsten is formally trained in Obstetric and Gynecologic ultrasound and is fluently bilingual in English and Spanish.

Beyond her direct patient care contributions, Dr. Karsten has made several media appearances to promote health and science. She was notably featured on CBS San Diego morning news, discussing the Community Health Fest & STEM Fair, an event aimed at reducing health disparities among historically at-risk populations. Furthermore, Dr. Karsten has acted as a script development consultant for TV show creators and writers, providing expertise to ensure medical situations are portrayed accurately.

Dr. Karsten is an avid supporter of her alma mater, the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she holds a degree in Chemical Engineering with a Biomedical minor. In her leisure time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and engaging in outdoor activities with her family, cats, and chickens.
