Eberechukwu Azumah

Ebere Azumah, MD, MPH, FACOG, FICS is a board-certified OB/GYN, Life Coach, trained Doula, and Public Health Professional. She is the chair of the OB/GYN Specialty Group for the International College of Surgeons (U.S.). And she is also the founder of these nonprofit organizations: Healthy and Uplifted and Love Your Menses, an organization that promotes global adolescent education and health literacy and donates free period products globally. She is the former chair of the Association of Nigerian Physicians in Washington DC- Maryland- Virginia region.
She is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Azumah earned her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine and her Master of Public Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She received a dual Bachelor of Science degree in General Biology and African American Studies from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
Dr. Azumah is also the visionary behind many global afterschool and community health initiatives, including FlowTech4Girls, Understanding and Embracing Your Menses, Period Parties, FlowJustice, EcoMenstrualFlow, and International Exchange of Ideas. She further supports family wellness through Putting Parents First, Loving Your Menopause, and The Serene Birth, a holistic childbirth education program.
Her leadership and innovation have earned her multiple honors, including:
- Association of Nigerians in the Americas DMC Chapter, Community Service Award (2025) — for her leadership as the Chair.
- Merit Award for Community AI Innovation (2025) — for pioneering programs that teach youth globally about Artificial Intelligence in Public Health
- Always Period Heroes Award (2022) — recognizing her outstanding contributions to global menstrual equity
- Executive Coaching Award from CEO Magazine (2024) — celebrating her impact as a transformative leadership coach
Despite her many professional roles, Dr. Azumah’s mission remains steadfast: to empower and inspire individuals—especially youth—to flourish unapologetically and live with purpose, confidence, and compassion.
