Michele Cameron is the Director of Clinical Research for Clearwater Cardiovascular Consultants (CCC), a large independent cardiology practice located in Clearwater, Florida. Michele joined the Dept. in 2005 and has since grown and cultivated a highly successful practice-embedded site. The Site conducts 30-35 cardiovascular related drug and device studies in both the clinic and hospital settings. All 23 practice physicians participate in clinical research and are CITI trained investigators working with 14 dedicated clinical research staff. CCC recently joined Cardiovascular Logistics (CVL), a national cardiovascular practice platform with 5 member practices, over 440 providers, 85 locations and 550,000 unique patients.   As the administrator of the CVL Physician Advisory Council and Platform Enhancement Council member, she is working toward implementing collaborative policies that will increase the stability, efficiency and profitability of the research departments across the platform.  Michele brings a diverse background to her position with experience as a clinical research project manager at Johnson and Johnson and GE Medical, as a critical care nurse and as the owner of a seafood company. CCC was a founding member of the Society of Clinical Research Sites and Michele currently serves as the Committee Chair for the Member Education & Engagement Committee.  In 2022, she was awarded the SCRS Christine K. Pierre Site Impact Award for her outstanding dedication to the global clinical research site community. Michele credits much of her professional success to the mentorship she has received through SCRS.
