Renee McLeod-Sordjan, DNP, PhD is Dean of the Graduate Education Nursing program and Professor within  Community Health and Preventive Medicine at Morehouse School of Medicine. She is a board-certified ethicist as well as family, palliative and acute care nurse practitioner specializing in reproductive gynecology and primary care for person with HIV.   She is the current assistant editor of ethics within the American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology. Her publications advocate to end obstetrical violence and improve access to neonatology, midwifery and obstetrics.  She is President-elect of  New York’s Empire State Bioethics Consortium as well as the American Bioethics Program Directors (ABPD). Dr. McLeod-Sordjan received her BS, BSN, MS, and DNP from Pace University, a PhD from Adelphi University, completed a Postdoctoral Clinical Fellowship in Bioethics at Northwell Health and is currently completing her MBA at Yale University. She is also a distinguished fellow of the National Academies of Practice, the New York Academy of Medicine, the National Academy of Medical Educators.  the American Academy of Nursing and  the International Perinatal Society.
