Dr. Tate is a native of Charlotte, NC. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and minor in Chemistry from Xavier University of Louisiana, where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Incorporated, Alpha Epsilon Delta honor society, and Alpha Kappa Mu honor society. He then received her Medical Degree with Medical University of South Carolina. 

His main interest is inpatient adult psychiatry with a focus on providing care through different interventional psychiatry modalities.
