Jessica Forsyth, PhD
Jessica Forsyth, PhD is a licensed psychologist and Senior Associate at Robert T. Carter & Associates where she has worked as a forensic psychologist and research consultant, specializing in the assessment of racial trauma in civil racial discrimination and criminal defense and mitigation cases for 15 years. In addition to this work, she is a staff psychologist for the IMA Group conducting psychiatric evaluations for disability. She has more than two decades of clinical experience with diverse populations, including adjudicated youth; gifted students of color; college students; and survivors of torture seeking political asylum. She was an NIH-funded postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Healthful Behavior Change at NYU School of Medicine and an adjunct professor in the graduate forensic psychology program at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She is the Co-Founder and former Executive Director of The Harold Hunter Foundation (HHF), a grassroots skateboard community-based organization that provides support, advocacy, and opportunity to skateboarders in NYC. Jessica earned her PhD in counseling psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University.
