I obtained my undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Austin in Chemistry then attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Afterwards I completed my internal medicine residency and Pulmonary/Critical Care fellowship training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and Emory University respectively. During the last year of my fellowship I completed a masters program in clinical research with a project focusing on predictive modeling in ARDS patients. Now I serve on the faculty at the Atlanta VA Medical Center as the pulmonary function lab medical director. I have a particular interest in pulmonary physiology and pulmonary function testing.
