David Zhuo, MD, FACC, FHFSA
Dr. David Zhuo is an advanced heart failure cardiologist practicing at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, and holds the title of Assistant Professor within the Section of Cardiology at Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM). A native of Melbourne, Australia, he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in biology, before attending medical school at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. He then completed his Internal Medicine residency and Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at the University of Virginia Health System in Charlottesville, Virginia, followed by his Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology fellowship at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Zhuo practiced as an advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology attending at University Hospitals/Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio, for two years, before moving to MSM/Grady in December 2023.
In his current position, Dr. Zhuo is tasked with building up the advanced heart failure service line at Grady Memorial Hospital in a collaborative effort between MSM and Emory University School of Medicine, to advance the level of heart failure care for a critically underserved urban population. He also plays a prominent role educating MSM cardiology fellows in general cardiology, heart failure, echocardiography, and stress testing. Dr. Zhuo is a first or co-author of 13 published manuscripts, and holds designations as both a Fellow of the Heart Failure Society of America (FHFSA) and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC).
