Krishna Louis

Krishna Louis is a trailblazer in her family, being the first born in America and the first to pursue higher education. Raised by a single Haitian mother alongside three younger sisters, she graduated from the University of Miami in 2021 with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology and a minor in Sports Medicine.
Currently, Krishna is a Physician Assistant student at Morehouse School of Medicine, where she serves as Class President. She is completing her training through the Leadership in Rural Health track, serving directly in Lamar County, Georgia. Her Capstone research addresses the rise of underage vaping in rural communities, advocating for education-based interventions over punitive measures.
Beyond academics, Krishna is a dedicated community leader and mental health advocate. She has served with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) locally and nationally, provided HIV testing, counseling, and linkage to care for adolescents through the University of Miami’s Promote 2 Prevent initiative, mentored youth living with sickle cell disease, led the NAACP Flagler County Youth Council, and more.
Krishna’s passion for service is rooted in health justice, health equity and representation. She aims to bridge health disparities by delivering care that is not only accessible, but also affirming and community-centered. Through her clinical training, leadership, and advocacy, she hopes to pave the way for a future where every patient is seen, heard, and cared for.
