ForwardSTARTING STRONG: Pregnancy, Opioid Use, and Transforming Systems of Care
This one-day convening brings together clinicians, treatment providers, researchers, policymakers, justice system partners, and community organizations to explore how healthcare, treatment, justice, and community systems can create stronger pathways for pregnant women, infants, and families across Georgia.

Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Describe key national trends in the incarceration of pregnant women and associated maternal health outcomes, as well as gaps in the data.
- Identify systemic barriers to perinatal MOUD access and quality prenatal care, especially in carceral settings.
- Articulate how the MOMCARE initiative can be applied to improve care for pregnant and postpartum women with OUD across settings.
