Chantel Runnels, MBA, CD (DONA), CLES, is a maternal health strategist, doula, educator, and founder of The Chaun Collective. Known as “The Doula for Doers and Dreamers,” she works to advance Black maternal health and birth equity through culturally responsive care, workforce development, advocacy, and systems change. Chantel has helped expand access to community-based doula support across Southern California while equipping birthworkers to build sustainable careers and navigate California’s Medi-Cal doula benefit. She is also a mother of four and a committed advocate for Black birthing families.
