Zoe Christie is a Johns Hopkins School of Nursing graduate, with a background in psychology, community health, and maternal health equity. Before pursuing nursing, she spent three years as a Community Health Worker with the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene’s, Healthy Start Brooklyn program. Here she worked alongside mothers and families to address disparities in maternal health and advance birth equity. Her experiences in community health have shaped her commitment to advocacy, culturally responsive care and improving health outcomes for Black women and families. As she enters the nursing profession, Zoe remains passionate about ensuring that every mother feels heard, supported and empowered throughout her healthcare journey.
