Juan Irby is the owner and founder of Dad to Dudla, an Alabama-based doula practice dedicated to uplifting families and transforming the experience of birth by centering fathers, partners, and strong family support. As one of the leading male doulas in the country, Juan has helped families across the United States, providing compassionate, evidence-based care during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.

Juan’s mission is simple but powerful: to make sure dads feel included, prepared, confident, and seen. Through Dad to Dudla, he offers birth support, postpartum care, newborn education, and specialized classes designed specifically for dads and non-birthing partners. His approach bridges emotional support, advocacy, hands-on techniques, and family-centered guidance that empowers both parents from day one.

In 2025, Juan was appointed as a CAPPA Faculty Member, joining an elite group of childbirth professionals who train, mentor, and certify the next generation of doulas and educators. CAPPA—Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association—is one of the largest and most respected doula organizations in the world. Juan’s role reflects his passion for teaching, leadership, and raising the standard of care for families everywhere.
