Dr. Nastassia Harris is a dedicated healthcare professional with extensive expertise in perinatal care, boasting over 19 years of specialized experience working with birthing and lactating families. As a registered nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), she brings a wealth of knowledge and skills to her roles. Her commitment to improving maternal and infant health in the Black community is evident through her various initiatives and advocacy efforts.

In 2018, Dr. Harris established The Perinatal Health Equity Initiative, a non-profit organization focused on addressing racial disparities in Black maternal and infant health using a reproductive justice framework. Her latest endeavor, Ignite Maternal Health, is a consultancy and educational firm concentrating on postpartum and newborn nursing. Leveraging her academic background, she aims to provide comprehensive education at the grassroots level.

Dr. Harris holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), a Master of Science in Nursing Education (MSN-ED), and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Educational Leadership.
