Aver Yakubu is a public health leader, strategist, and educator with expertise in organizational management, strategy, and Black maternal health. She serves as Interim Executive Director of Nurturely, where she leads efforts to advance perinatal health and equity for Black and Global Majority families through community-based programs, partnerships, and systems-level initiatives. She is also Director of Research and Partnerships at Saint Louis University.  Aver also holds leadership roles with the American Public Health Association and is an adjunct faculty member, teaching courses such as ethics, healthcare organization management, and evidence-based public health. Her work is grounded in building stronger organizations and cross-sector strategies that improve maternal and infant health outcomes.
