Victoria Towns is a full-spectrum doula who is passionate about investigating a solution for the disparity in Black maternal health outcomes. Victoria contributed to the approval of statewide bill HL HB454, which would allow doulas to receive reimbursement through insurance in Louisiana. She has worked as a medical assistant for a urogynocologist, where she served as a patient liaison and collaborated with providers and clinical staff. She is devoted to researching and putting in practical work to ensure Black families experience birth with safety, dignity, and autonomy and receive equal urgency in healthcare.
