Aneesha Smith, RNC, is a Labor and Delivery nurse with more than 25 years as a clinician and a deep commitment to supporting the people who care for families during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. As The Nurse Builder, her work sits at the intersection of perinatal care, technology, and sustainable practice design.

She is the founder and CTO of BirthSync, a HIPAA-compliant practice management platform created specifically for perinatal providers, including doulas, midwives, lactation consultants, and community health workers. As a self-taught full-stack developer, Aneesha began building BirthSync after seeing how often birth workers had to adapt their work to systems that did not fully reflect the way they serve their clients, especially in the community health setting. Today, she continues to develop the platform alongside active clinical teams and birth professionals.

Through The Konnected Practice, Aneesha provides implementation support, strategy, and coaching for women-led healthcare businesses navigating clinical practice, operations, and technology. She is also the Founding CTO of March for Midwives and serves as Director of Resources and Technology for the Perinatal Resource Collaborative, where she helps advance systems and resources that are more responsive to Black mothers, families, and birth workers.

Aneesha is the author of Systems That Nurture and writes The Systems That Hold Us, a LinkedIn newsletter exploring the infrastructure, tools, and practices that help care-centered work remain sustainable. She continues to work hospital nursing shifts, bringing the perspective of active clinical practice into every product, system, and strategy she creates.
