Doussou Toure is an MPH candidate at the Emory Rollins School of Public Health in the Department of Global Health, with a certificate in maternal and child health. She focuses her research and work on implementation science, policy, and community-centered interventions based in maternal and child health nationally and globally. Her work and research center on the various intersections within the field, including identity, institutions, policy, and culture, and how these factors impact access to and the quality of care. Her goal is to complete her doctorate and enter the maternal and child health leadership space as an implementation scientist and maternal health leader. Her research being presented is the result of her undergraduate honors thesis research, which examined how community-based organizations impact Black maternal health outcomes.
