Selena Brazley, LCSW, PMH-C, serves as the Behavioral and Mental Health Coordinator for Healthy Start Brooklyn at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. A Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Perinatal Mental Health Specialist (PMH-C), Selena leads strategic initiatives focused on advancing maternal health equity, improving perinatal mental health outcomes, and delivering compassionate support to birthing people and families across New York City.

In her role with Healthy Start Brooklyn, Selena bridges public health infrastructure with specialized clinical expertise, ensuring that perinatal mental healthcare is accessible, trauma-informed, and grounded in reproductive justice. She collaborates closely with community doulas, clinicians, and community partners to address systemic health disparities, mitigate perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, and equip providers with actionable strategies to support maternal emotional well-being.

Grounded in an integrative, community-centered approach to care, Selena brings deep clinical insight and public health dedication to her work. She is honored to present at the Black Maternal Health Conference and Training Institute, partnering with fellow birth workers, clinicians, and advocates to strengthen systems of care and uplift Black mamas and families.
