Adena Brewington-Brown is a Cardio-Obstetrics Nurse Practitioner at the Lankenau Heart Group in Wynnewood, PA. With two decades of experience within the field of Women’s Health, she has practiced in both the community and academic healthcare settings.  Adena received her BSN from West Chester University and her MSN from Drexel University.  She received her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Wilmington University. Her evidence-based doctoral project focused on introducing mindfulness as an adjunct to cognitive-behavioral therapy for women diagnosed with perinatal depression. 

Throughout her career, Dr. Brewington-Brown’s clinical practice has been guided by her passion to improve outcomes for vulnerable populations of women.  To make continuous strides toward health equity, Dr. Brrwington-Brown has maintained memberships within professional committees that focus on quality improvement, safety, clinical competence, and educational initiatives.  Currently, she serves as the program manager of the Postpartum Hypertension Remote Blood Pressure Monitoring program for Main Line Health Care.  

In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Breqwington-Brown serves as a Clinical Adjunct Professor for Drexel University’s Women’s Health and Gender Related Nurse Practitioner Program. She has also had the opportunity to fulfill the role of guest lecturer in academic and medical education settings with a focus on high-risk perinatal complications, mindfulness, and implicit bias education.
