Shaila E. Day, DO, MS, MSCR, is a board-certified internal medicine physician, Associate Professor of Medicine, and clinician-investigator at Morehouse School of Medicine. With more than a decade of experience in academic medicine and patient care, her research focuses on the patient–physician relationship, particularly how physician behaviors, communication, trust, and respect shape patients’ healthcare experiences and outcomes. She is also engaged in medical education and curriculum development, with a growing program of research focused on advancing relationship-centered care and relational medicine.
