Dr. Figg is currently the Associate Designated Institutional Official and Director of Graduate Medical Education for Central Michigan University College of Medicine - CMU Medical Education Partners in Saginaw, Michigan. She is the President of the Michigan Association for Medical Education, Distinguished Member of the Academy of Health Information Professionals, and column editor for a peer-reviewed health sciences library journal. Dr. Figg is an Assistant Professor of Education, Medical Sciences Discipline at Central Michigan University. She has an MBA in Organizational Management and obtained a Master of Library and Information Science from Wayne State University and a doctorate in Educational Technology from Central Michigan University. Dr. Figg was a recipient of the 2025 ACGME’s GME Institutional Coordinator Excellence Award.
