David W. Loring, PhD, is a distinguished neuropsychologist based in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a Professor in the Department of Neurology at Emory University School of Medicine where he serves a Neuropsychology Program Director in the Neurology Department. Dr. Loring has been practicing since 1985 and is board-certified in Clinical Neuropsychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology.
Dr. Loring’s research centers on redefining treatment efficacy by integrating cognitive outcome measures and emphasizing the impact of psychological factors on overall treatment effectiveness. He has played a key leadership role in shaping the field through his service as Associate Editor of Epilepsia and Editor-in-Chief of Neuropsychology Review. His contributions have been recognized with numerous honors, including the Distinguished Lifetime Contributions to Neuropsychology Award from the National Academy of Neuropsychology. He is Past President of the International Neuropsychological Society
