Mariam Mati, MD is an Assistant Professor of Geriatrics and Gerontology at Emory University School of Medicine and a dual board-certified Family Medicine and Geriatric Medicine physician at Grady Memorial Hospital. Her work focuses on transforming care for older adults through practical, interdisciplinary approaches to falls prevention, dementia, medication safety, osteoporosis, and complex geriatric care. She leads the development of a multidisciplinary Fall Prevention Clinic at Grady and provides geriatric co-management for older adults living with HIV at the Ponce De Leon Center. A passionate educator and mentor, Dr. Mati teaches across the continuum of medical education and serves as Emory’s Internal Medicine Residency Faculty Lead for Geriatric Medicine.
