Courtney Brown, Ph.D., RDN
Dr. Courtney Still Brown serves as the Community Health Engagement Coordinator in the University of Georgia Biomedical and Translational Sciences Institute. In her role embedded in UGA Extension, she works with Georgia communities, UGA Extension specialists and agents, and across the Georgia Clinical and Translational Science Alliance (Georgia CTSA) to build capacity for and implement community-engaged clinical and translational research that furthers the land-grant mission of UGA and expands the impact of the Georgia CTSA. Dr. Brown has experience in community-based participatory research and health education. Key present and past projects include The Georgia Health Landscape to map health needs across Georgia and match researchers with communities, an Extension-based recruitment project for the All of Us research program, the Well Connected Communities program to build multigenerational, cross-sector health coalitions, and the Healthier Together project to implement obesity prevention PSE strategies. Her master’s and doctorate are both in Foods and Nutrition. She is also a registered dietitian.
